Ascend Indiana Human Resources Intern

My responsibilities as an Intern at Ascend Indiana included:

• Supporting talent development initiatives by assisting with programs that connect students and graduates to career opportunities across Indiana

• Conducting research on workforce trends and employer needs to help improve job matching and recruitment strategies

• Assisting with data organization and analysis to track candidate progress and program outcomes

• Communicating with students and employers through email and outreach efforts to support engagement and placement processes

• Collaborating with team members on projects aimed at improving career pathways and access to professional opportunities

What I Learned:

Through this internship, I developed strong professional communication and organizational skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. I gained experience analyzing workforce data and understanding how talent pipelines are built and maintained. This role also strengthened my ability to think strategically about career development and workforce accessibility, reinforcing my interest in improving systems that connect individuals to meaningful opportunities.
