Health Policy
Health Policy Analysis-Final Presentation
This artifact is my final presentation from my Health Policy course, where I conducted an in-depth analysis of obesity as a public health crisis in the United States. The project required me to evaluate the scope of the issue, analyze contributing factors, and propose policy solutions aimed at improving population health outcomes.
These same steps can be followed to embed other forms of media as well. If your artifact is a video or slide deck, upload it to ONEDRIVE or Google Drive and you can use the same steps. If you have another form, find a YouTube video or steps online on how best to add it. If all else fails, visit the ePortfolio Studio for technical help.
What I learned
I chose to include this assignment because it is one of the most meaningful projects I have completed. It allowed me to explore a major public health issue that I am personally interested in, while also applying policy analysis frameworks to real-world data. I spent a significant amount of time researching obesity trends, examining disparities in access to healthcare and healthy resources, and evaluating different policy approaches. This project challenged me to think beyond individual behaviors and consider the broader systemic and environmental factors that contribute to obesity.
This artifact is especially important to me because it reflects my growth in understanding how policy decisions impact health outcomes on a population level. It also strengthened my ability to communicate complex information clearly through both data and presentation. Overall, this project showcases my ability to analyze public health issues, think critically about solutions, and apply my knowledge in a way that can contribute to meaningful change in healthcare systems.
